Karen Martin
ND,

Karen was
President of the Australian Naturopathic Practitioners Association (ANPA)
from 2002 to 2007. She serving as ANPA representative to the
Federation of Natural and Traditional Therapists (FNTT). She
lectured in Naturopathy at various training institutions for 18
years and serves on consultative committees for complementary
medicine nationally. In 2003 she was appointed as the first lecturer
in Naturopathy at the University of South Australia and later
continued there in a research role. Karen has written regular
complementary health columns for National Pharmacies magazine and
The Advertiser and is ‘resident naturopath’ for radio 5RPH. In
January 2008 she was appointed to the Therapeutic Goods
Administration's Advisory committee on Complementary Medicines (ACCM).

Karen has been in private practice as a Naturopath for more than 20
years. She practices a combination of herbal and nutritional
medicine as well as incorporating diet and lifestyle advice to
achieve optimal health results. Karen’s approach to naturopathy
involves treating each person as an individual, so she incorporates
thorough case-taking and individual assessment into her treatment
plans. She also believes that it is important to involve the person
in decision making processes, and that people should have an
informed involvement in their own treatment.

Luke Whelan
BHSc (Acup)
Luke is a skilled acupuncturist with more than twelve years’
experience in natural health. After training at the Australian
College of Natural Medicine, Melbourne, and the Guangxi Traditional
Medical University, Nanning, China, he joined Well2 in 2007. In
addition to his extensive experience as an acupuncturist, Luke
practises Bowen therapy and Tui Na (massage), and uses a combination
of approaches and techniques to complement acupuncture to achieve
excellent results.
Luke offers a friendly and professional service. His experience in
many areas of natural health allows him to bring together a
multitude of skills and techniques to treat health problems instead
of relying on only one discipline. His communicative approach
ensures you are fully informed to help you get the most from your
appointment, and he encourages patients to ask questions about their
treatment.

Julia Gerster

Julia is a qualified acupuncturist who worked in private practice as
a physiotherapist in Germany for several years before moving to
Brisbane to study acupuncture. After graduating she moved to
Adelaide to join Well2.
Julia is a successful practitioner who has a positive impact on her
clients through her unique style, approach, and wealth of knowledge.
She has had a lifelong passion for health and wellness through the
use of natural medicine to improve the quality of life for herself
and for her clients.
She complements her Acupuncture practice with knowledge from her
Physiotherapy background when seeing clients. She sees each client
as a unique individual and treats them according to their specific
needs. Her gentle approach, kindness, compassion and her ability to
listen carefully gently guides her clients through the healing
process and helps them to achieve the highest level of health and
wellbeing possible.

Kathryn Jackson
BSc, BNutrDiet, MSc, APD
Kathryn has 23 years’ experience as a
Dietitian, of which the past 20 years have been in Private Practice
and lecturing at the University of South Australia and Flinders
University. She has a special interest in nutrition for enhanced
fertility, particularly for IVF clients, and has extensive research
and practical experience in weight management.

Denis Goodfellow
BEd, Grad Dip (School Counselling), Reality Therapy Cert, Grad Dip
Psychology, BA (Hons, Psychology), MPsych (Clinical), MAPS, MASH
Denis is an experienced psychologist,
hypnotherapist, and counsellor. He has considerable experience in
helping people to resolve issues in areas such as anxiety,
depression, trauma, stress, worry, fears and phobias, loss and
grief, quitting smoking, overcoming overeating, etc. Denis uses a
range of strategies to help people help themselves such as cognitive
behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, reality therapy, and
hypnotherapy.
Denis works with both individuals and couples and is an
experienced relationship counsellor. Denis has a special interest in
hypnotherapy. He sometimes uses hypnotherapy to increase the
effectiveness of other therapies or on its own, depending on the
problem. He finds hypnotherapy in demand to quit smoking, to
overcome overeating, for fears such as fear of flying, and many
other issues. |

Tim Ackland
Diploma of Remedial Massage
Cert. IV Massage Therapy Practice Tim is a Certified Remedial
Massage Therapist who graduated from the Australian College of
Massage. Since graduating Tim has developed his skills in a day spa
setting as well as providing mobile massage services. His treatments
include a variety of techniques to ensure effective relaxation. He
is also dedicated to providing effective deep tissue (remedial) and
sports massage to decrease pain and discomfort from stress and/or
muscular skeletal conditions. Tim is also qualified in providing
individually tailored pregnancy massage.
His caring approach and hands on experience allows him to provide
beneficial and effective treatments through confident touch by
listening, learning and being mindful to each individuals needs and
providing a safe, relaxed and comfortable environment. |
